Frequently Asked Questions: Iceland Delivery

Everything you need to know about shipping routes, building regulations, customs, and site erection in Iceland.

We engineer framing strictly according to ÍST EN 1991-1-4 (vb ≥ 36 m/s) and ÍST EN 1998-1 with heavy-duty structural steel hold-down anchors and reinforced shear walls, ensuring total stability in extreme North Atlantic storms.

0% customs duty. Under the EFTA–Türkiye Free Trade Agreement, prefabricated steel housing kits accompanied by our official EUR.1 Movement Certificate enter Iceland tariff-free. Only standard Icelandic VAT (VSK 24%) applies.

Shipments are packed into 40ft High Cube containers at our Gebze facility, routed via European feeder ports (Rotterdam/Hamburg) on scheduled vessels (Eimskip/Smyril Line), and delivered to Reykjavik in approximately 10 to 14 business days.

Iceland has no native timber resources. Steel framing is 100% immune to fungal decay and rot from persistent Atlantic rain and dampness, while delivering significantly higher wind shear rigidity.
